ROUND TABLE WORKSHOPS are highly personalized and interactive, they represent the most unique MBA Tour event format. These events accommodate a select and focused group of highly qualified students and top schools to maximize quality interaction.

You will be seated at a table of 5 to 10 people. The business school reps then spend 10 to 15 minutes interacting with you and other MBA candidates, discussing the unique features of their school, and then rotating to present at the next table. You will therefore have the opportunity to hear from every business school participating in the event and compare each program to one another. During each presentation you can make a good impression by asking school representatives in-depth questions about the program.

An applicant who attended the San Francisco March 2009 round table event said,

“The roundtable discussions allowed me to hear from schools that I otherwise would not have. In a different setting I would only have talked to the reps from the schools I had short-listed. Because of the roundtable, I will be applying to a school that I had not considered.”

While you might not be initially interested in every participating business school, the process of hearing a presentation from each school at a single event allows for you to define each school’s unique qualities and to make and discover your top choices.

An applicant from the Frankfurt 2009 round table event describes his experience as,  “Everyone was able to get the attention of school representatives. It helped me to discard one choice that I had made and to discover another one which I did not consider before.”

Tips for attending a round table event:
Please show up on time, since the school representatives present once at each table, you may miss a presentation from one of your top school choices if you come late.

Avoid asking generic statistical questions, attendees say the format is great for open discussion so do your general research ahead of time and come prepared with in-depth questions about the school’s program and school culture.
