INDIVIDUAL SCHOOL PRESENTATIONS allow for you to hear about the unique aspects of the program and how admission decisions are made from the actual decision makers.
School representatives typically give a 30 to 40 minute presentation and allow time for the audience to ask questions. This is an information session that goes beyond what is on the school website and what information is available through a quick discussion at a table. The school presentations are a great format for gathering information about schools you are interested in before you speak to the reps one on one at the open fair.
In addition you will be amongst a large group and you will be able to ask questions and hear other important questions from other MBA applicants.
A 2007 Chicago event attendee commented by saying, “I thought the individual school presentations were great. Not only did I gather an abundance of information about the schools, but I also got a taste of the culture from the admissions personnel and by observing the types and number of prospective students who attended each school's presentation.”
At an MBA Tour event, you can choose which school presentations you would like to see. You can download the presentation schedule from the city’s event page on our website a week prior to the event. Then you can prioritize which school presentations you would like to see. Most attendees have the opportunity to see two or three presentations at an event.
An attendee at our 2008 Atlanta event said, “It was a great opportunity for me to learn the specialty of each school from the individual school presentation. The back to back sessions enable me to easily make comparisons among schools.”
Tips are some tips for attending individual school presentations:
Be sure to look on the MBA Tour website before you come to the event and see what time the schools you would like to see are presenting. And also, come on time to the presentation so you don’t walk in after the reps have already begun to speak.
