Siddharth Asthana

Siddharth Asthana, from Bangalore India, is currently employed at Dell and needs the scholarship to help save money to fund a venture which will introduce disruptive technology into the agriculture commodities market. Siddharth’s venture will hopefully provide rural farmers in India better prices for their crops and improve their living conditions. Siddharth’s experience at Dell will help him create and launch the technology behind his venture. Siddharth will attend the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University.

Kavita Nehemiah

Kavita Nehemiah, also from Bangalore India, is a Product Manager at a financial services firm, currently engaged in micro lending. Kavita’s goal is to return to India soon after graduating and start her own micro lending business. The scholarship will help her use personal and family savings to launch her venture. Kavita demonstrated that she not only had a socially responsible idea but also has the experience to launch her own business. Kavita will attend the Johnson School of Management at Cornell University.
