Title: Director Role: Full time client relations and market development for Europe and North America. Tour Leader for Asia, India, and some US tours. The position will include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities. Primary responsibilities: Business Development
Coordinate (and participate in) the research that supports continuously improving marketing efforts
Stay current with world events that impact demand for MBAs in different countries and regions
Research and further develop database of North American European clients and partners assisting with international tours
Identify key admissions consultants and cultivate relationships
Identify key test prep centers and cultivate relationships and collaborations
Identify key players in the media and press and cultivate relationships
Identity other relevant players in the MBA market
Manage client relationships in Europe, US, Canada, SE Asia, India, and Australia
Develop and maintain relationships with MBA marketing and admissions directors
Travel to client campuses to strengthen relationships
Market events to a global network of clients and contacts
Continuously seek to improve the way The MBA Tour communicates with its clients, and set up a communications calendar for managing client relationships alongside the timings of the various tours.
Writing and issuing PR statements to ensure year-round visibility of The MBA Tour in the press, in particular in developing markets where continuous and value-added coverage of MBAs is necessary for long-term market development.
Conduct focus groups with clients and MBA students to monitor appropriateness of current services and programs
Serve as an ambassador of The MBA Tour with the US Advisory Board
Write e-bulletins on subjects relevant for students applying to business school
Teach and create material for application work shops
Program development
Changes in the industry and MBA market require the continuing assessment of current products and services and the development of new ones. In conjunction with other tour leaders, it will be essential to:
Propose and develop enhancements to our current tours
Develop new programs that will address client needs
Tour Responsibilities
Travel and Lead tours
Support off-site Tour Leaders
Coordinate events and activities
Assist with distribution of materials to tour members
Provide support and information to orient new tour members to optional activities
Collect and compile option forms
Coordinate production and organization of tour-related materials
Pack boxes to be shipped for events
Prepare registration materials
Purchase tour member and colleague gifts
Database updates post tour
Website maintenance and updates to tour member’s web pages
Develop and update the tour itinerary
Assist with coordination and arrangement of tour logistics, working with the tour leaders and Event Manager
Manage set-up of events
Coordinate on-site registration with local contractors
Assist with the development of tour-related publications
Assist with tour evaluations and collecting client feedback
Set up “Reverse” tours with US schools and international education advisors Skills and Competencies
Educated to degree-level, ideally in business but not a requirement. Having an MBA would be helpful
Commercial experience in account management or direct client marketing
Fluent English is a necessity, other languages are a considerable advantage
Knowledge of the MBA industry is an advantage
Self-starter and motivated to work both independently and collaboratively within a small team
